Para lá do Verde (Beyond the Green), is a collaborative video-performance work with Mieszko Dobek. In this project, I created several movements based on muscular tension, while singing a famous song by José Afonso that evoques the melancholic, yet passionate spirit of the Portuguese. This song talks about birds that may or may not come back, thus creating a parallel with Mieszko’s video, where the same birds fly in circles.
