Cegonha revolves around the idea of being born, the gestation period and the moment of birth. I decided to create an analogous relation between the reality of birth and pregnancy with the myth of storks carrying the babies in a white blanket to their designated parents.
In the performance act I lie inside a white fabric attached to the ceiling (in a U shape). During the action I play with the weight of my body and it’s tension on the fabric, creating twirling movements, between resistance and momentum.
